Maltrim LLC d/b/a Lumiveil
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Maltrim LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company doing business as Lumiveil ("Lumiveil," "we," "us," or "our").
"Lumiveil" is a registered trade name (d/b/a) of Maltrim LLC. Maltrim LLC is the legal entity behind Lumiveil; all rights, obligations, and protections described in these Terms are binding on and benefit Maltrim LLC and its successors and assigns. Wherever these Terms refer to "Lumiveil," they refer to Maltrim LLC in its capacity as the operator of the Lumiveil platform.
You acknowledge and agree that you are contracting with Maltrim LLC.
BY USING LUMIVEIL, YOU EXPRESSLY AND KNOWINGLY:
Agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety;
Waive your right to a trial by jury for any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Service;
Waive your right to participate in any class action lawsuit, class-wide arbitration, or representative action against Lumiveil;
Waive your right to bring any claims on behalf of others or as part of any group proceeding;
Agree that any dispute must be resolved individually through binding arbitration as described in Section 14;
Acknowledge that you have had sufficient opportunity to read, review, and understand these Terms before accepting them.
This waiver is a material inducement for Lumiveil to provide the Service. If you do not agree to these waivers, you may not use the Service.
Lumiveil is a safe-for-work ("SFW") platform available to users age 16 and older. This is an absolute minimum-age requirement with no exceptions. By using the Service, you represent, warrant, and covenant that:
You are at least 16 years of age;
If you are between the ages of 16 and 17, a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and our Privacy Policy and consents to your use of the Service on your behalf. Your use of the Service constitutes your and their affirmation of that consent;
You are not prohibited by law from accessing or using the Service;
All registration information you provide — including your date of birth — is truthful, accurate, and complete;
You have not been previously banned or removed from Lumiveil under a different account.
Lumiveil relies on self-declared age at registration. Providing false age information is a material breach of these Terms and may constitute fraud under applicable law. Lumiveil reserves the right to immediately and permanently terminate any account where we have reason to believe the user is under 16, without notice and without refund of any paid credits or subscription fees. Lumiveil may cooperate with law enforcement in connection with any suspected misrepresentation of age.
Lumiveil does not currently collect government-issued identity documents from users. Because we operate a safe-for-work platform, we do not perform third-party document-based identity verification.
When you register for an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are solely responsible for:
Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
All activity that occurs under your account, whether authorized by you or not;
Immediately notifying Lumiveil of any unauthorized access or security breach.
You may not share, sell, transfer, or otherwise allow any third party to access your account. Account sharing is a violation of these Terms and may result in account termination. Lumiveil is not liable for any losses arising from unauthorized account access caused by your failure to maintain credential security.
Each person may maintain only one active account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, bans, or credit systems is strictly prohibited and may result in permanent bans of all associated accounts and IP addresses.
Lumiveil is an AI-powered roleplay and conversation platform providing access to AI-generated characters for entertainment and creative purposes. The Service includes character discovery and interaction, user character creation tools, a credit-based messaging system, social features (which may include following, comments, and community interactions), a wellness check-in feature, and subscription options. Lumiveil is a safe-for-work platform; sexually explicit and other adult content is prohibited (see Section 6.2).
All responses generated by AI characters are produced algorithmically and do not represent the views, opinions, or statements of Maltrim LLC, Lumiveil, or any real person. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, inappropriate, or inconsistent. Lumiveil expressly disclaims all responsibility for the content of AI-generated responses. You interact with AI characters entirely at your own risk. AI characters are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.
Lumiveil's wellness features — including daily check-ins, mood tracking, and any AI companion responses to emotional content — are provided for entertainment and reflective purposes only. They are not, and should not be relied upon as, medical advice, psychological counseling, crisis intervention, or a substitute for care from a licensed professional. If you are in crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, contact your local emergency services or a licensed crisis helpline immediately. In the United States, dial or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Lumiveil makes no guarantees regarding the availability, uptime, or continuity of the Service. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue the Service or any feature at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including maintenance, technical issues, or business decisions. Maltrim LLC shall have no liability to you for any interruption, modification, or discontinuation of the Service.
You retain ownership of original content you create on Lumiveil, including user-created AI character descriptions and personalities. By submitting content to the Service, you grant Maltrim LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, copy, display, distribute, and create derivative works from your content solely for the purpose of operating, moderating, and improving the Service. This license terminates when you delete the content, except that Maltrim LLC may retain copies as required for legal compliance, safety investigations, and backup integrity.
Lumiveil is a safe-for-work platform. You are solely and entirely responsible for all content you create, submit, or generate through your use of the Service. The following content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination:
Sexually explicit content of any kind, including but not limited to depictions of sexual acts, sexual arousal, nudity, and sexually suggestive imagery or text;
Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or harms minors in any way, including fictional depictions. Violations will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement as required by law;
Content that glorifies, encourages, or provides instructions for self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or substance abuse;
Graphic depictions of extreme violence, gore, torture, or animal cruelty;
Content designed to harass, threaten, dox, or harm any specific individual;
Content that incites violence, hatred, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or any other protected characteristic;
Content impersonating real individuals without their verifiable consent, or characters based on public figures created in a defamatory or misleading manner;
Content that infringes upon any third-party intellectual property rights, including copyrighted characters used without license;
Content that constitutes or facilitates illegal activity of any kind;
Malicious code, phishing content, or material designed to compromise user or platform security.
Detailed content and conduct rules are provided in our Community Guidelines, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. Lumiveil reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review, moderate, and remove any content at our sole discretion, without notice and without liability.
Lumiveil operates a credit-based system for certain features. Credits are a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use certain features of the Service. Credits have no monetary value outside the Service, cannot be exchanged for cash, cannot be transferred between accounts, and are not your property. Lumiveil may modify the credit system at any time without notice.
ALL SALES OF CREDITS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE EXCEPT AS EXPLICITLY STATED HEREIN OR AS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
By completing a purchase, you expressly waive any right to a chargeback except in cases of demonstrable fraud. Initiating a chargeback for a valid purchase is a violation of these Terms and will result in immediate permanent account termination and forfeiture of all credits and subscription benefits.
Lumiveil may, at its sole discretion, issue credits or partial refunds in cases of verified technical error. Requests must be submitted within 7 days of the transaction. Lumiveil's determination in such cases is final.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused subscription time. Upon cancellation, you retain access to premium features until the end of the paid period.
If you are between the ages of 16 and 17, you represent that any purchase made through the Service has been reviewed and authorized by your parent or legal guardian. Maltrim LLC is not obligated to issue refunds for purchases made by minors with parental knowledge and payment method access.
In addition to content restrictions in Section 6, the following conduct is strictly prohibited:
Using automated bots, scripts, or any non-human means to interact with the Service;
Scraping, crawling, or systematically extracting data from the Service;
Downloading, copying, mirroring, or redistributing character portraits, descriptions, or other user-generated content from the Service without the express permission of the creator, except for personal use directly within the Service;
Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service;
Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
Attempting to circumvent content moderation, safety filters, security measures, or access controls;
Creating fake accounts, purchasing or selling accounts, or using the Service under a false identity;
Introducing malware, viruses, or other harmful code into the Service;
Using the Service in any manner that could impair, overburden, or damage our infrastructure;
Soliciting personal information from other users, particularly minors;
Attempting to use AI character prompts, jailbreaks, or persona injections designed to elicit prohibited content;
Engaging in any conduct that Lumiveil, in its sole discretion, deems harmful to other users, the platform, or Maltrim LLC.
The Lumiveil name, brand, logo, platform design, UI/UX, proprietary AI systems, and all content created by Lumiveil are the exclusive property of Maltrim LLC and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. No right, title, or interest in Lumiveil's or Maltrim LLC's intellectual property is transferred to you by your use of the Service.
You may not use the Lumiveil name, logo, or any of our branding without prior written permission from Maltrim LLC.
Maltrim LLC respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. § 512. Maltrim LLC has registered a Designated Agent with the U.S. Copyright Office to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement. Our registration can be verified in the public Copyright Office directory at dmca.copyright.gov.

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on Lumiveil in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please send a written notice to our Designated Agent at the email address above. Your notice must include substantially the information required under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), which includes:
(a) A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
(b) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
(c) Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (such as a URL);
(d) Contact information for the notifying party (address, telephone, and email);
(e) A statement that the notifying party has a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
(f) A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that the notifying party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.
Upon receipt of a valid notice, Maltrim LLC will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and notify the affected user. If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification meeting the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) to the same address.
Repeat Infringer Policy. Maltrim LLC will terminate the accounts of users determined to be repeat infringers of copyright in appropriate circumstances, as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(i).
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and forms part of this legally binding agreement. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MALTRIM LLC EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AND TITLE. LUMIVEIL DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MALTRIM LLC, ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL MALTRIM LLC'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO LUMIVEIL IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY DOLLARS ($50.00).
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Maltrim LLC, its members, managers, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms or our Community Guidelines; (c) your violation of any third-party right; (d) content you create or submit; or (e) any claim that your content caused damage to a third party.
ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS, OR CONTROVERSIES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS, THE PRIVACY POLICY, OR THE SERVICE SHALL BE RESOLVED EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH FINAL AND BINDING ARBITRATION ADMINISTERED BY THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION (AAA) UNDER ITS CONSUMER ARBITRATION RULES (www.adr.org), RATHER THAN IN COURT.
YOU AND MALTRIM LLC EACH WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO BRING OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, OR ANY OTHER REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. ALL DISPUTES MUST BE BROUGHT SOLELY IN YOUR INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY.
Either party may seek emergency injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration, or bring an individual claim in small claims court if the claim qualifies.
You may opt out of this arbitration provision within 30 days of creating your account by sending written notice to legal@lumiveil.net with the subject "Arbitration Opt-Out."
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, without giving effect to any conflict of law principles. For any claims not subject to arbitration, you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the state and federal courts located in Louisiana.
Lumiveil reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by email or by prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before changes take effect. For material changes, we may require you to affirmatively re-accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Lumiveil may suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Grounds for immediate termination include violation of these Terms or our Community Guidelines, suspected fraud, illegal activity, and conduct detrimental to other users or the platform. Upon termination for cause, you forfeit all credits, subscription time, and other benefits without right of refund. Sections 2, 6.1, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 survive termination.
You may close your account at any time through your account settings. Account closure is subject to the data retention practices described in our Privacy Policy.
Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Community Guidelines constitute the entire agreement between you and Maltrim LLC.
No Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver.
Assignment: Maltrim LLC may assign these Terms without your consent. You may not assign without our written consent.
Force Majeure: Maltrim LLC shall not be liable for delays or failures resulting from causes outside our reasonable control.
